Monitor noise from construction activities

When employing the general-purpose sound level meter NL-42, SD card can be used for long-term storage of measured noise level data and calculated values.

Data stored on the SD card can be imported into the AS-60 data management software for environmental measurement, for viewing level waveforms, editing and arithmetic processing of data, and creation of daily or weekly reports. Depending on the type and conditions under which the noise occurs, determine the level as follows and compare it to the standard levels.
(1) Sound level meter indication does not fluctuate at all or very little: take the indicated value as is.
(2) Sound level meter indication fluctuates periodically or intermittently: take the maximum values at the time of each fluctuation and calculate the average.
(3) Sound level meter fluctuates irregularly and drastically: take the top value of the 90% range of measured values.
(4) Sound level meter indication fluctuates periodically or intermittently, and maximum is not constant: take the top value of the 90% range of maximum values at the time of each fluctuation.
